The  venue of  «Days of Perm Business» Forum is  «PERM EXPO»  centre  were  five thematic areas were organized, devoted to new markets, training system, technologies and innovations, service and creative industries. As part of the forum, federal speakers and experts will present, the Russian-Chinese exhibition will be organized  and consultations for entrepreneurs will be held.

On the first day of the forum  Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin held  a plenary discussion on the role of creative industries in the development of the city economy. Within the framework of the session, the participants discussed issues related to the search for sources of  raising  the  demand and competitiveness of  creative industries businesses, issues in improving the quality of educational support in the development of this area.

–  The six areas of the creative economy in Perm are  those  strengths that already exist in the city and should be developed. And here Perm certainly has something to be proud of. For example, the design school «Tochka» is the only school in Russia, which provides design education as part of its   general education certificate, in addition to all basic subjects, organizing a permanent  programme with classes by professional designers and official exams. We plan to continue to be actively involved in the development of creative industries. Our strategic goal is to increase the number of new start-ups and to increase  «survival» level of such companies in Perm, - said Eduard Sosnin in his Telegram channel.

At the Forum the Mayor of Perm also held a round table with schoolchildren - participants and winners of «My first business» competition in entrepreneurial  skills, who presented their business projects to the  Mayor of the city.

The projects presented  included  an automatic incubator for breeding chicks made of  available materials and technical devices, that is  economically profitable, autonomous, mobile, compact and easy to use.

Further, the participants  came up with the idea of creating a teenage anti-cafe with a library, board games, game consoles, the Internet access, tea, coffee and snacks. The place will also be the venue for  various master classes, lectures, discussions, film screenings and concerts of young musicians.

Another of the presented projects  is  a scanner application that will be useful for small business:  a device can be  installed on the refrigerator   that controls the shelf life and quality of products.

Future entrepreneurs presented the project of «School canteen»:  caterers prepare food and in the evening parents, teachers, children can buy and take it home in containers. Cooking is offered by thematic menu, representing one of  a variety of cuisines every day. Yet another  project «MelKos» presented  the idea of producing  decorations and objects made of beads  fro sale.

– In Perm, conditions are being created for the development of entrepreneurial skills among children. Educational programmes and practices are implemented in schools that combine theoretical learning with practical tasks such as developing business plans, participating in school business projects or simulating business processes. Thanks to such programs, students' interest in the topic increases, develop their creative thinking and ability to work in a team, - said Mayor Eduard Sosnin.

One of the key events of the first day of the Forum was the session of the Council on Entrepreneurship and Improvement of the Investment Climate with the participation of the Governor of the Perm Region Dmitry Makhonin.  The Council accredited the status of «priority» to three investment projects  in the sphere of manufacturing and to four projects aimed at  expanding  the existing production and creating new facilities in the field of logistics and infrastructure in the region.
